Jacobina is an underground gold mine, producing gold doré through a conventional leaching process. A phased expansion to a throughput level of 8,500 tpd was completed in mid-2022.

A comprehensive optimization study is being undertaken to evaluate alternative mining methods and optimize the long-term economics of the mine.

Jacobina Mine Tour

On January 9, 2024, Pan American hosted a group of analysts and investors for a tour of the Jacobina mine. The tour featured the underground mine, processing facility and the core shack. A presentation by Pan American’s senior leadership team in Brazil described all aspects of the operation, from exploration to production, sustainability and the plans under development to optimize the mine’s future potential.
