We are currently seeking an experienced treasury and commercial professional to join our corporate Finance team. As part of the corporate Finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the treasury and commercial processes of the company. Reporting directly to the Director, Treasury, the Senior Analyst / Assistant Manager, Treasury & Commercial will provide support and assistance to the Director of Treasury and the Manager of Commercial by participating in the management of treasury operations and providing analytical support for commercial initiatives.


Major Responsibilities

Treasury

  • Assist in the development and implementation of cash management strategies to optimize working capital and minimize financial risk.
  • Monitor daily cash balances and cash flow projections to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs. Develop short to medium term cash flow projections to this end.
  • Help coordinate intercompany funding and repatriations with local management groups as well as Legal and Tax departments.
  • Assist in the management of banking relationships, including negotiating bank
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports related to treasury activities, including cash flow forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Assist in the implementation of treasury policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and projects that impact treasury operations.
  • Stay informed about market trends and best practices in treasury management to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support debt management activities, including refinancing, debt covenant compliance and capital structure optimization.
  • Prepare hedging and other trading reconciliations and monthly reporting.
  • Evaluate foreign exchange transaction processes to improve execution efficiency and monitor foreign exchange trading company-wide.

Commercial

  • Support the Commercial Manager in analyzing alternatives for refining and logistics providers related to dore production and commercialization.
  • Analyze assay exchange procedures and results for both dore and concentrate.
  • Evaluate credit risk of counterparties and improve diversification strategies for product placement.
  • Monitor budget and actual metal production to provide timely forecasts for Sales department.
  • Monitor product logistics from mine to refineries and support the implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate with regional commercial teams to develop relationships with key staff, to ensure information and continuous monitoring of production and shipments.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or Finance.
  • Professional designation related to treasury or finance (e.g. CTP, CFA, CPA).
  • Experience in mining will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and financial instruments (e.g., FX, derivatives).
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using Excel or other analytical tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to deliver quality results.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and set priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese is an asset.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000. Placement within the salary range will be based on candidate experience and qualifications relative to the requirements of the role.
