We are looking to hire a Training Coordinator to join our Timmins Operations team in Timmins, ON., on a full-time basis.  The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 hrs/day or 4 on, 3 off, 10hrs/day.

Compensation: This position offers a salary range of $110,000 – $125,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Vacancy Status: This is an existing vacancy. The successful candidate may begin as soon as possible.

Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.

The role of the Training Coordinator will be to lead, develop, and support training initiatives across all sites to ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and certifications required to work safely and effectively.

Reporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent, the Training Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:

Provide Safety support for growth projects, including contractor onboarding, site audits, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety programs

Coordinate Mine Rescue training programs and support competition teams across all sites

Lead the delivery, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal training programs

Champion and sustain training programs following implementation to ensure long-term effectiveness

Develop and deliver onboarding and training packages for critical systems (e.g., CRM, HOP, Sofvie) for new and existing leaders

Design training materials and facilitate refresher training sessions to maintain competency and compliance

Chair and implement a Training Steering Committee to drive alignment on training priorities

Collaborate with stakeholders to promote effective communication of critical risks and HOP principles

Support risk identification and mitigation efforts, fostering a proactive, risk-aware culture

Build and maintain training databases to ensure all employees meet certification and regulatory requirements

Develop and maintain site-specific training matrices to ensure adequate operational coverage

Assist in the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all sites

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage audiences
  • Experience with Mine Rescue training programs and emergency response coordination
  • Underground (UG) Common Core certification
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Certification or experience delivering specialty training (e.g., Working at Heights, Confined Space)
  • Ability to effectively communicate and reinforce safety principles at all levels of the organization
  • Adaptable and responsive, with the ability to adjust priorities based on evolving safety directives and focus areas
